A “Jewel” is more than a piece of jewelry, it’s something unique, treasured, and timeless. Celebrating simplicity and intention. Each veil and accessory in our collection is thoughtfully designed and crafted to celebrate the bride who wears it, creating a beautiful reminder of her special day.
I’ve always been drawn to pieces that are simple yet impactful, timeless rather than trendy. When the time came for my own wedding, I struggled to find bridal options that reflected my personal style. I wanted something that was thoughtfully cut, crafted from beautiful fabric, with minimal embellishment. So I made it myself, dress, veil and all.
At an early age, I understood how a single item of clothing or an accessory could make you feel truly special. My mom taught me to sew, and I fell in love with the process; experimenting, and creating something unique. Before I even knew there was a fashion industry, I wanted to be a part of it.
That experience inspired Johari: created for the modern minimalist bride who wants to shine brighter than what she’s wearing.
Fun fact: Johari is my middle name. When the time came to name this brand, Johari fit perfectly. It’s a reflection of what I want for every bride: to shine and to wear pieces that they’ll cherish forever.
